③輸出促進の為の産地づくり
現在、11名の有機農家生産者チームを中心とし、定期的な勉強会とノウハウの共有を行い、高品質な有機柑橘(かんきつ)で地域の活性化と輸出産地を形成し目的達成を目指して活動しています。

(Fertilizer Edition). About the “active bokashi” used at Uwajima’s Ueda Organic Farm .
This organic fertilizer, called “bokashi,” is a microbial fertilizer made by fermenting high-quality domestic soybeans , rapeseed, rice
bran , and other grains to cultivate various microorganisms. It is designed to boost the “activity” of the soil and the rhizosphere through an exquisite combination and blend of
ingredients. According to the agricultural expert who accompanied me, “Most bokashi these days is made from raw materials like sewage sludge and construction debris.” While that makes me
a bit skeptical, I suppose it means there are many products on the market that mix miso with all sorts of other ingredients.
Inside the factory , there was a pleasant “fermentation” aroma (similar to soy sauce lees), and there were no insects (flies), which gave a
sense of the product’s high quality. At the grape vineyard where Bokashi is actually being used, the foliage is abundant, the leaf color is a uniform pale green, the trunks are
sturdy and thick, and the roots appear well-established. We were able to confirm its effectiveness not only with mandarin oranges but also with other crops.
This fertilizer is made possible precisely because the producer is well-versed in plant physiology (the mechanisms by which plants live and
function). The price is also reasonable—less than 2,000 yen per 俵—and the business operates with honesty, safety, and integrity. This could be a great opportunity to start using organic
fertilizers.
Given the rising costs of materials like chemical fertilizers due to ongoing geopolitical instability and crop failures caused by
climate change ⛈, organic farming—which relies on natural cycles and the power of ecosystems to grow crops—may become increasingly important.

He is a leader in the region, playing a part in solving the problem of aging farmers and lack of successors by cultivating abandoned land and leasing land from farmers to create soil for organic farming. The company cultivates kale using organic farming methods, as well as green juice products and fruit powders. In recent years, the company has been focusing on organic cultivation of Rinoka lemons, aiming to develop new sales channels!

高岡 照海(たかおか てるみ)/遠赤青汁株式会社 代表取締役
耕作放棄地の開墾や農家から土地を借り受け、オーガニック栽培ができる土壌を作り上げることで、農家の高齢化や後継者不足問題解消の一翼を担う地域のリーダー的存在。有機農法によるケール栽培、青汁製品や果実の粉末などを行っている。近年は、有機栽培による璃の香レモンの栽培に力を入れ、新しい販路開拓を目指しています!
Masaharu Kikuchi, Vice Chairman, Ehime Citrus Export Promotion Council/Kikuchi Organic Farm CEO

Born in Ehime Prefecture. Graduated from Tokyo University of Agriculture. Since his student days, he has been interested in environmental issues. To reduce labor, improve cultivation conditions in his orchard, and prevent landslides caused by heavy rain, he has progressively renovated his orchard on his own. To facilitate organic cultivation of Satsuma mandarins, he practices the alternate bearing system with separate main trunks, aiming to increase and stabilize yields while reducing labor.
菊池正晴(きくちまさはる)
有機農園・菊池農園代表/(株)マルタ 取締役
愛媛県生まれ。東京農業大学卒業。学生時代から環境問題に関心を持ち、作業の省力化と園地の栽培環境の改善並びに豪雨による土砂崩壊防止のため、順次独自で園地改造を行う。温州ミカンの有機栽培を容易にするため、主幹別隔年交互結実方式を実践し収量の向上・安定並びに省力化を図っている。
